How to synchronize files using PCSync

As a working professional, I always make sure that I have multiple computers to work with.  With the so many documents, spreadsheets, power point presentations I have, most often I have the tendency to spend so much time locating all these files in all my computers.  Earlier on, I bougth this USB external drive which Im happy for a while. But then as the files grew bigger and the time to hook up the USB device to one computer at a time is a painstaking job.  So, I tried to research for an alternative solution to have the same files in all of my four computers and I found this PCSync.

Laplink PCSync is a unique program because it can work for both PC and Mac.  I was able to save a lot of my time doing useful stuff later on.  What I did was to install PCSync in all my four computers.  All my computers (3 laptops and 1 desktop) have different operating system, two are using Win XP Pro SP3,  the other is Windows Vista Home and another is Windows 7.  I have one computer in my bedroom, one in my living room, garage and one as my traveling-PC.

PCSync is an ideal offline-synchronization program. It works well to sync and transfer files using 3 different methods of connections: 1. by using a USB connection by which you can attach an external storage device to transfer or sync files; 2. by using Laplink cable to attach directly your computer, whether be a desktop or laptop, to another computer; and last but not least is by using LAN connection. In this example, I am using a LAN connection to connect multiple participating computers in a netwerk using PCSync to manage or sync files.

It is important to note that all computers (PC or Mac) that you want to synchronize files to should be installed and run the PCSync program during synchronization. There are two options to move or sync files to other computer(s), by using automatic or prescheduled sync and the other one is using a manual sync.
